• Job Creation: The startup ecosystem has generated approximately 1.728 million jobs as of December 2024, underscoring its substantial impact on the economy.
• Diverse Origins: Roughly 51% of these startups are situated in Tier II and Tier III cities, highlighting the untapped entrepreneurial talent across India.

The recognition of over 161,150 startups coincides with the celebration of the 75th anniversary of India’s independence. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) credits this achievement to collaborative efforts that have nurtured a vibrant startup ecosystem filled with innovation and spirit.
