1. Issues with New Registration
Issue 1: Pending for Clarification
- Message: Status of ARN generated against new registration shows ‘Pending for Clarification’.
- When it Occurs: Upon issuance of a Show Cause Notice (SCN).
- Solution: Review the SCN and submit the requested information according to the notice. Submit clarifications within 7 days.
Issue 2: System Error on DSC Submission
- Message: System error when submitting the application through DSC.
- When it Occurs: During submission.
- Solution: Register or update your Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) using the path: Login > Services > User Services > Register / Update DSC.
Issue 3: Jurisdiction Update Error
- Message: Cannot update jurisdiction.
- When it Occurs: When attempting to change jurisdiction.
- Solution: Jurisdiction updates can only be made if incorrectly assigned. Contact the Jurisdictional Authority for assistance.
Issue 4: Adding Additional Place of Business
- Message: ADD NEW option disabled.
- When it Occurs: While attempting to add a new place of business.
- Solution: In Part-B, increase the number of places in the textbox to enable the ADD NEW option.
Issue 5: Composition Scheme Ineligibility
- Message: E-Commerce users or Inter-State suppliers cannot opt for composition scheme.
- When it Occurs: During registration application.
- Solution: E-commerce and inter-state suppliers are not eligible for the composition scheme, except for restaurant services provided through e-commerce platforms.
Issue 6: Access Denied on Login
- Message: Access denied during login.
- When it Occurs: At login.
- Solution: Check registration status without logging in. If the status is active, raise a ticket. If cancelled, raise a ticket accordingly. For inactive status, contact the Jurisdictional Officer for guidance.
Issue 7: Downloading Issues
- Message: Unable to download Order/SCN/New Registration RC.
- When it Occurs: While attempting to download.
- Solution: Download your registration certification from the GST portal. If unable to do so, clear browser cache or try a different browser.
Issue 8: GST Practitioner Application Error
- Message: GST Practitioner applications for registration showing 105% profile complete.
- When it Occurs: During application submission.
- Solution: This issue has been resolved for new applications. Existing registered practitioners should re-register.
Issue 9: Application Pending Processing
- Message: Application status shows “Pending for Processing”.
- When it Occurs: During application tracking.
- Solution: This indicates the application has been submitted and is awaiting review by the tax official.
